The New Crew

Fledgling as it may be, the crew has begun.

Steve Brown, shown with the glasses and goatee is methodical, detail oriented and is inspired by the opportunity to work on top notch projects. I've found that he's also ready to jump on the menial tasks that aren't so desirable.

Every project has parts that aren't as fun as others. Steve actually volunteers before anyone has to ask. He realizes that projects such as our front porch we just finished are a sum of the parts that put it together. Each task is given the same consideration regardless of how glorious or mundane that task may be.

Ed Sparks, who goes by his last name, has drive and an interest that motivates his drive. My own personal apprentice, he catches on extremely fast and is often ahead of the game.

Over the Christmas holidays Sparks stained and finished every deck board we installed on the Massimini porch before we installed it and did flawless work. I wasn't anywhere around to help and he made me proud.

He really loves to work. Give him an assignment and he works like a madman until its done.

Then there's me. Stephen M. Quillian - Craftsman. I love to do top quality work. Up until now I haven't had any quality help to share the burden, so I am thankful for these two men who have decided to work with me and pursue the vision set before me.

I guess there aren't too many people in the Bay area who do work like we do. Perhaps that's why we're so popular. The demand for our services has increased to the point where its about impossible for one person to do it all. But as a team, we're doing great and we'll only grow greater as our talents continue to merge for the greater good. If give thanks to God for placing this responsibility in my hands and sending me people to help share the load.

We finished the porch today. We are all proud to have participated in such a fine project. Can't wait until the next one (which has already begun).
