Another few photos of the work we're doing lately. A full size layout of the fireplace surround, three arches in a row and a shot of two arches with the built in in view.

We still have yet to build the actual television surround, there's doors to build for the lower cabinets

as well as a small frieze below the mantle upon which we will attach crown moulding. The doors will have gothic arches in them and oh yea, the small lighted lower cabinets will have gothic arches as well.
Here's a view of three arches we've built

, connecting all the common places in this house. Each arch was a challenge itself. For one, the wall are different thicknesses one from the other, so we had to calculate for that, in addition each arch covered a different span. Each arch required separate templates to cut the shapes so it was like setting up a different tool every time.
The last photo shows the project's overall theme more closely. Stained cherry and venetian plaster give these two rooms a unique look all their own.
