Radius Top Cabinets Installed

So what do you think? Looks pretty good with the doors on and all lit up! There's still a few things to do, install knobs and adjust the drawers, clean the glass and stuff. We'll do that early next week.

Do you wonder how I cut the curves? I do it with a router set up on a giant arm set to an exact radius. I lock down everything to be cut with assorted fastening mechanisms - screws, clamps, blocks, etc....

I can cut plywood this way as well as the materials for the doors. The hardest part is getting everything set in the right place. A little bit of math helps too. With a little patience it can go pretty well. With a little impatience a lot of wood can be ruined in a hurry.

I won't volunteer the mistakes I made along the way, because who needs to know about those when we got to look at a finished product such as this?

  2. Thank you very much for your kind words. Completing a project such as this is rewarding. I still wonder in awe at the things that get to pass through my fingers into the houses of those who hire me.
